The Everyday Pack by Wingback is a 21-litre capacity, weatherproof, planet-friendly waxed cotton backpack. Handmade in England and built with absolutely zero compromises on quality, every feature has been refined to make it a joy to use, while ensuring it will stand up to the daily rigours of a life well lived. Its main clam shell pocket allows for easy packing and access to everything all at once. A padded 16" laptop pocket can be repurposed for a hydration bladder on your weekend hike. An internal sleeve and gusseted zipped pocket fits a tablet or notebook, along with other valuables. A front zipped pocket, split into three sections for improved organisation, provides access to frequently used items straight off the shoulder. Finally, reinforced halo webbing doubles as easy grab handles and points to fit detachable straps for external storage or support. Choose from five inner colours and three bespoke, knurled zip puller options to make it your own.
Outer: 100% organic, fluorocarbon-free waxed cotton from Dundee, Scotland.

Inner: Reinforced ripstop cotton and closed cell foam padding from Dundee, Scotland.

Buckles: AustriAlpin COBRA® aluminium buckles and clips from Fulpmes, Austria.

Zips: YKK No10 reverse coil zips from Tokyo, Japan.

Considerations: At 21 litres, the Everyday Pack provides enough room for your daily commute or weekend escape. It is carry-on ready, compact enough to fit under the plane seat in front of you or in the overhead lockers, and adjustable shoulder straps will ensure one size fits all. The waxed cotton outer will protect its contents from the elements but best to keep it overhead if you plan to wade across any rivers.
It takes a few days to hand make each product to order but this ensures every item is one of a kind and nothing goes to waste. The Everyday Pack is made from double-layered waxed cotton from Halley Stevensons in Scotland, who have been making fabrics for over 150 years. It is both weatherproof to ensure it stands up to the elements, and fluorocarbon-free, making it kinder on the planet too. It offers high water resistance, high abrasion resistance, is 100% organic and fully recyclable. As with all our designs, it should only get better with age.

Good functional balance and aesthetic

The Everyday Pack 21L from Wingback in essence has a good balance between functional and aesthetic.
The good:
- front zip compartment with dual type inner compartment, i.e. two slip pockets and bigger compartment, is very functional
- the secret zip back pocket is handy for wallet and thinner items
- the terracotta (or other bright coloured) inner lining makes it very easy to locate items
- the size is just right for everyday carry, i.e. papers, laptop, notebook, lunchbox, EDC pouch, water bottle, reading glasses, earphones, sun glasses, sanitizer, etc.
- the bag size is also fits well on my lap sitting on a train commuting to and from work daily
- retains its shape
- waxed cotton material is hard wearing and 'feels' sufficiently robust to throw around
- zipper (so far) is strong with repeated pulling daily, even when the bag is full

The room for improvement:
- back panel gets really hot really quickly, especially in warmer weather
- straps are a bit too small for me and pulling the side, so becomes uncomfortable with heavy load/ when the bag is full
- the zipper flap gets in the way when trying to pull the zipper quickly

Excellent quality pack

I love this backpack. It is sturdy and well made. The quality is excellent. The placement of pockets, loops and other features is very well thought out. I’m sure I will enjoy it for many years and will buy other Wingback products to complement it.

Amazing piece of equipment if only just few litres bigger it would have been 10 out of 10 but its still a outstanding bag

Version 1.0

Overall a fantastic version 1.0. For city users it hits many of its targets. I’m happy with the shoulder straps even though harder than other bags. The attachable strap for putting over a carryon handle just isn’t at the same level of design and inhibits two of the outboard pockets In terms of suggestions for V2.0 would be either Velcro or a stud on the pockets on the front . Even slanting would prevent stuff falling out. A simple built in band for slipping over carryons would be great. An extra internal zipper pocket would be great internally and a back zipper at the top would be a good add. Hope I’m not coming across as negative - I love V1.0, I love the pencils and looking forward to V2.0 as I travel the world with 1.0
