The Designer’s Mechanical Pencil.
The Wingback Mechanical Pencil is engineered to write as far as your journey takes you. With a wide 10mm (3/8 inch) diameter and diamond knurled grip, it sits comfortably in the hand to reduce writing fatigue, while the satisfying weight of its materials encourages more time to be taken with every stroke. A retractable lead sleeve protects the graphite and eliminates nib wobble, and a bespoke internal mechanism holds up to 2.4m of lead. It should keep you writing, sketching, drawing and designing as long as your creativity lasts. Every pencil can be personalised with a laser engraved inscription of up to 50 characters along the length of the barrel.

Considerations: The Black Steel pen retains all the precision and corrosion-resistant qualities of stainless steel, while the tungsten carbide finish increases the surface hardness 9x. Any marks it picks up from regular use should be easily wiped away. However, the surface is scratch resistant, not scratch proof. Anything harder than the surface (diamond, some ceramics) or really aggressive use will be able to scratch it, which is why we recommend keeping it in its cotton sleeve when not in use, and carrying your diamonds in another pocket.

PERSONALISATION
Black Steel rivals the exotic look of Damascus steel or titanium, with a sub-metallic lustre that reveals a glimmer of the steel beneath the surface. It is applied using a technology called magnetron sputtering, where nano layers of tungsten carbide carbon are deposited onto the steel surface. Finished in Cambridge and laser engraved, assembled and packaged in London, all items can be personalised and made to order. It takes time, but so does anything worth holding onto.

Steel Mechanical Pencil damaged and rattles
just received my steel mechanical pencil and i am highly disappointed. the cap rattles, is completely scratched up and so are the interior components. this is supposed to be a brand new pen!?

worst mechanical pencil
I bought my pencil about 6 months ago, it had good build quality etc, however problems started in the first month very unreliable lead not moving or mechanism being unable to feed consistently, i contacted support and got an automated response. After about 2 month the pencil completely stopped working unable to feed or hold lead at all I've taken it apart and cleaned each component to be sure. But alas garbage, since I use it for work I bought a 5 pound alternative which has been working great for past 4 months no issues. However I just picked it up again after these 4 months cleaned it and still doesn't work, so decided to write this review. Buyers beware

I've had a look through email history but can't see an email from you previously getting in touch about the issue. Not sure what happened there but if I had received the message i certainly would have made every effort to assist you then and there.

I enjoy well designed, robust tools that work perfectly and last forever. Personally, I feel there’s a value in that which can take an everyday activity (like writing & drawing) to a higher and more enjoyable level. I’m very happy with my brass mechanical pencil. The brass dulls quickly, which I like, and it’s very smooth to use. Solid weight and stable. I opted for engraving my name on it too, and I’m glad I did - It’s quite small and low-key, just right.
