The Wingback Mechanical Pencil is engineered to write as far as your journey takes you. With a wide 10mm (3/8 inch) diameter and diamond knurled grip, it sits comfortably in the hand to reduce writing fatigue, while the satisfying weight of its materials encourages more time to be taken with every stroke. A retractable lead sleeve protects the graphite and eliminates nib wobble, and a bespoke internal mechanism holds up to 2.4m of lead. It should keep you writing, sketching, drawing and designing as long as your creativity lasts. Every pencil can be personalised with a laser engraved inscription of up to 50 characters along the length of the barrel.

  • Metal: Aerospace-grade brass from Europe, CNC machined in Birmingham, UK.

Mechanism: Bespoke all-metal mechanism made in Iwaki, Japan.

Sleeve: Oeko-Tex double thickness cotton sleeve from Poland, Europe.

Finish: Laser engraved, assembled by hand and packaged in London, UK.

  • Weight & Dimensions: 40g (1.41 oz), Ø10mm (3/8") diameter, 117.5mm (4.63") length

Mechanism: Fits 2.4m of 0.7mm or 4.8m of 0.5mm diameter lead (40 refills)

Engraving: All inscriptions are in capital letters and run along the length of the barrel

Considerations: Brass will develop a unique patina as its surface oxidises and interacts with the natural oils in your skin. This pen will quickly look like a timeless tool, but can easily be polished back to its original lustre by following these simple steps.

Outstanding Writing Impliment

I originally purchased two of the engraved pens on last year's Kickstarter and loved them - as did my wife who was given one as a Christmas present. Now I have a matching mechanical pencil as does the wife. Great heft and feel and the engraving is the icing on the cake

I do like this brass pencil, by far the best I've used.

Glad I chose it over the disposable ones I've previously used. It's simple, very well engineered and of great quality. It feels good in the hand and I'm sure it will continue to perform for many years to come.

Sensational!

This is an absolutely beautiful pencil to both use and look at!

Well done!

Nicely executed design and finish. I am sure this pencil will last a lifetime and still look great. I am not sure why a previous commentor wrote that the nib end would not be flush with the end...all you have to do is give it a little nudge and away it goes......no longer able to tear your pocket or the cloth carry bag. Thank you for making this pencil.

Wingback Pencil

I received a very nice solid brass pencil. It's weight nedds a little getting used to, but that's the problem, if you, like me, only use cheap plastick ones. ;-)
This will last propably forever. Thumbs up!
