      The Wingback Mechanical Pen has been designed to last for decades, not months, epitomising our “buy once” philosophy. Machine turned from a solid bar of aerospace-grade brass, it is reassuringly weighty in the hand with a wide diameter to reduce writing fatigue and encourage time to be taken with every pen stroke.     Jan Perit Kablan is an artist and architecture student based in Istanbul, Turkey. “I’ve always drawn illustrations inspired by nature," says Jan. "Bees, which bring equilibrium and balance to our shared habitat, have always fascinated me. They may be small in size, but each one has a big responsibility within their hive – and so do we to protect and live in harmony with these beautiful creatures.” Jan's art is available across our best-selling stationery, hip flasks and leather wallets.

    Outstanding

    This pen is an absolute masterpiece. The finish and machining is outstanding. It is well balanced and has a lovely weighty feel. The retraction mechanism is buttery smooth and very tactile.
    What really finishes this pen off though is the wonderful engraved design. A real thing of beauty.
    I look forward to using this over my lifetime, and to watching a unique patina which will develop over time.
