Arbor Made Candles are a sustainable candle company based in Michigan. Their candles are refillable, limiting the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. The holders feature a silicon base that makes it easy to remove the last bit of wax at the bottom of the holder, and with a variety of scents to choose from, you can easily change the scent of your candle. The candles are non-toxic using a soy wax base making it better for you and our environment. 

Less but Better by Dieter Rams

Dieter Rams is a designer from Germany that is known for his practical and minimalist design, especially during his time at Braun. His book, Less but Better, shows the behind-the-scenes of his designs, his ideas, methods and criteria. It includes imagery of his ideas and his design process. The main message that is featured through out the book is the one principle of design has remained true throughout design, less is better.

Silent Spring by Rachel Carson 

Rachel Carson's Silent Spring is one of the most well-known environmental books. When it was first published in 1962, it was the first of its kind, bringing to light the tragic impacts of a popular pesticide at the time, DDT. It brought the issue to the American public that weren't aware of what was happening. Her book helped to start a petition that lead to a nation-wide ban on the use of DDT for agricultural uses. It also started a movement that lead to the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Whisky Glass and Bottle Set

The set pictured above is Nikka Whisky that gets bottled directly from the cask to keep its distinct taste characteristics. It is a blend of two single malt whiskies from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. It was first released in 1985 and uses different oak casks to bring depth to its flavour. Father's Day Chair Making Course


The Kent High Went Partnership (HKWP) is hosting a chair making work shop in the forest. It will take place in their forest school in Bedgbury Pinetum and each ticket is for two people. Each pair works together to build a chair that you can take home filled with memories of the day. The workshop includes all of the materials to make the chair as well as a campfire lunch and hot drinks with biscuits. Free parking is available, and the workshop runs from 10am - 2:30 pm on the 15th June 2024.

G-Adventures Tour: Geluxury or National Geographic Tours
