Quality materials make quality products. They enhance every facet of design, turning something purely functional into something special. That’s why we pride ourselves on sourcing the best raw materials from around the world. From our leather to our pulp packaging, we rigorously test everything that goes into your Wingback to ensure it not only stands the test of time, but also develops real character with wear and care.
We sourced and tested over 60 types of leather before we found our favourite: Tuscan full-grain, vegetable tanned. These hides reveal natural markings that hint at stories of a past life and as a by-product of the meat industry they help us reduce our impact on the environment. Tuscan leather ages beautifully, softening quickly while maintaining a crisp finish. Over time your Wingback leather will develop a unique patina, picking up markings as trophies of the journeys you’ve shared together.
Brass is bold. Eye-catching yet understated, its mechanical properties make it ideal for machining and it ages impeccably well. Just like the hides, it develops a deep patina, becoming steadily more unique over time. Prefer your Wingback box fresh? Brass can be easily polished to its original shine.
We use a strong, heavy gauge thread with a high lustre. It’s ideal for heavy duty use and we encourage you to choose the thread that matches your character. Darker colours, the classic look, will blend into the leather while the brighter shades, the extrovert’s choice, will make your Wingback stand out – even in the smokiest whisky bar.
