Mechanical Pen - Black Steel

I received mine in a timely manner, despite the holiday madness, no fuss. Visually, the pen is exactly as communicated via the website and all the marketing, and a little more. But there is more: I appreciate the way the pen feels as an object on the table, the way it feels being written, the way it feels in my pockets, the way it feels sandwiched between notebooks...I love how low-key fidgety it is (aspie here), how the different textures contrast against each other...I even love the way it smells sometimes.

It is true that design-wise it is not as explicit or loud as some other machined pens. But I like the quiet subtleties- every now and then I discover something small and it adds to my appreciation of the product and the people behind it.

The only thing I would add/change was prompted by a friend who called it a glorified 'pen holder'. I don't know the complexities behind designing and producing the ink, the tips etc. But if you guys go that way to make a 'complete' Wingback product, count me in!

Quality pen

I initially brought the mechanical pencil for my husband as a gift and he was so impressed by it's quality and design that he requested the pens, wallet, pen holder, pencil case and keyring as gifts since.
He gets loads of compliments, the items are lasting really well and we know we can rely on the Wingback team for fantastic customer service.
We are huge fans of this brand and looking forward to further products to add to the collection.
P.s the engraving service is a great addition the typography is contemporary but timeless, position and sizing always spot on.
