Big, burly and unapologetically luxurious, Capsule004 is the culmination of ten years of luggage design and development by Selected Works designer and maker, Charles. An in-house favourite piece of luggage, this carry-on friendly holdall has enough volume for whatever you want to take on your next getaway, plus the kitchen sink.
The spacious 45L bag allows a user configurable setup with upgradable modular accessories. An ultralight packing cube set facilitates ultimate organisation and, when combined with the detachable shoulder harness kit, converts this holdall into a large capacity, adventure-ready backpack. A lid mounted padded device sleeve keeps your devices safe and secure, whilst keeping the centre of gravity securely against your back - providing a confidence-inspiring fit and feel.
A hidden zip accessed front pocket with internal slips gives easy access to your travel essentials, and 2 side pockets keeps your valuables reachable even when on the move. The full clamshell lid features a pass through for when you're travelling with a case and the heavy duty primary handles will handle a load heavier than you're willing to carry, finished with airport floor ready kevlar-reinforced skid plates on the base.
Lightweight technical materials combined with bombproof heavy duty construction, we're using Challenge Sailcloth EPLX 840 all over. Lined with GridStop, a lightweight ripstop reinforced with ultra high molecular weight polyethylene fibres, Wingback and Austrialpin hardware highlights the design and high density closed cell foam and SRPP shock protection keep your valuables secure. Full grain leather, military spec nylon webbing and all metal hardware provide the finishing details. This bag is designed for heavy use and guaranteed for life.

International orders are sent delivered duty paid. The price you pay at checkout includes any import duty and tax due in your country, and we settle it with the carrier before your parcel ships. There is nothing to pay on delivery and no customs paperwork to complete.

Every order ships tracked from our London studio. Complimentary shipping on orders over £250.
International orders are sent delivered duty paid. The price you pay at checkout includes any import duty and tax due in your country, so there is nothing to pay on delivery.
You have 30 days from delivery to return an unused piece for a refund. Personalised or engraved items are made for you, so they are not returnable unless faulty.
Frequently asked questions
Unpersonalised pieces leave us in 1 to 2 working days; personalised pieces are made to order and leave in 1 to 2 weeks. UK delivery is by DPD and usually adds a day or two. International orders travel by FedEx and arrive 2 to 7 days after dispatch, depending on where you are. Anything that includes a pre-order piece ships together, on the date shown against that piece.
No. On international orders, import duty and tax are calculated at checkout and paid by us before the parcel leaves England. Nothing is owed on delivery and there is no paperwork to complete.
Most pieces can be engraved with initials, a name or a short message — add the inscription on this page before you add to cart. Two things change when you do: your piece is made to order, so allow 1 to 2 weeks before dispatch, and because it is made for you it cannot be returned or exchanged.
Yes — you have 30 days from delivery to change your mind, no reason needed. Email hello@wingback.co.uk and send the piece back; you cover the return shipping and we refund your original payment method. The exception is personalised pieces, which are made to your specification and cannot be returned.
Yes. If anything fails through a fault in the materials or the making — whether that is next month or in twenty years — we repair or replace it. Wear, patina and the marks of use are not faults; they are the point. The full terms are on our Guarantee & repairs page.
Our materials are chosen to wear in, not wear out. Brass darkens with handling into a patina unique to you — polish it back to bright whenever you like. Steel and titanium keep their finish with almost no attention, and leather deepens in colour as it is used. This ageing is character rather than damage, and each product page carries specific care notes in the Wear and Care row.

Since 2014 we've been blending technical engineering with traditional craft to create refined tools that are guaranteed to last a lifetime. We design every product ourselves, from a studio in London's iconic Oxo Tower.
The metal is machined in England, the leather hand-stitched in London, and our waxed cotton bags made in England. A few pieces are made overseas, by specialists who do that particular job better than we could here, and where that's the case we say so on the product page rather than leave you guessing.
Wherever a product is made, it's designed here and carries the same guarantee. If something stops working as it should in normal use, we repair or replace it, however long you've owned it.
