Journeyman Pen

Received the pen and although action was decent, extremely
disappointed with the finish. Out of the box the top has big scratches/gouges.. doesn’t look like tooling marks. Just looked banged up.. don’t expect this from a brand new pen especially one this expensive.

Many emails sent over the last week about a return and zero response. Terrible…

Perfect weight

I would love to write something special like everyone else’s about this pen and company but I’m having such a terrible time getting my pen that I purchased. I was told my was complete but no shipping information than told I could order something else or a remake, I’ve been waiting for this pen to give to my daughter for graduation but all I get is our small service team will reach out to me but no one has yet only when I reach out to them I get a response. It’s a damm shame I heard good things about this company.

I gave this as a gift to an architect friend. He loved it. “It’s absolutely beautiful and gone straight to the top of my list of favourite stationary (no mean feat). Will treasure it!"

Sorry, I don’t love the pen. I use Kaweco, Grovemade and a variety of other top brands. Honestly, I find the Wingback too small in the hand and the bullet style tip below the grip is wide and infringes on you seeing what you’re actually writing. I like the clip pen stand, pocket clip and G2 options so I can use the gel ink of my choice. Sorry, Shaun.

I really enjoy this pen… I have many. I think the “knock”mechanism is quite tactile and fidgety, nice weight distribution… it’s a little weighty but balanced. My only complaint has nothing to do with the pen… I was hit with a hefty “trump tariff” which made this pen quite expensive but luckily ordered a beautiful “British racing green” livery that will showcase this pens beautiful origins in the pen making heartland of England. Thanks! Please let me know if you find a “liquid fuel” journeyman!

I like the material this pen is made of and I also like it’s size and weight.
The price of this pen is quite high, but I am happy that I did buy this pen.

I ordered the Wingback Stainless Steel pen with a custom engraving, and it’s become far more than just a writing tool. In hand, the steel feels weighty and substantial, exactly what I want from a daily writer. The machining is precise, the knurling is crisp, and it catches the light in a way that makes the whole piece feel alive. The build is solid and exacting. No rattle from the refill - tried both easy flow 9000 from Schmidt and Uniball Jetstream - both work beautifully without any rattle.

It's left such an impression, I just placed another order in brass.

The turning is really crunchy like nails on a chalkboard. Just unpleasant to use.

I have the steel color and then they made this and I had to have it. Quality construction, amazing black metal and beautifully designed. Perfect weight in the hand. A true joy to use. Some may wish it were longer but this is perfectly pocket sized.

I was in two minds about buying this pen, as I’d never spent so much on a pen before. But I’m so glad I did. I went for the brass version and the craftsmanship is outstanding. It feels solid, weighty, and beautifully made.
The internal mechanism operates flawlessly.
I carry mine everywhere with me in my zibaldone, and it’s already developing a gorgeous patina. It feels like a true lifelong tool.
