Retaining our signature addictive twist mechanism from our original Mechanical Pen, the Journeyman Pen has been designed to accommodate any G2 ink cartridge. It features a slightly longer barrel, a pocket clip and our logo milled into the crown. It’s a versatile daily writer, designed to join you on your travels for writing, sketching and journaling.
The Jet Fuel version has a titanium-based refractive coating with extremely high abrasion resistance and a unique iridescent ‘petrol’ colour that changes appearance under different light. At just 1 micron thick it is 10x harder than stainless steel and virtually scratch-proof, making Jet Fuel an unmatchable option if you want your tools to last but also aren’t against some showmanship.

So I purchased the black steel journeyman pen ( luckily not engraved ) from Wingback and as it was in transit to me an email came in from wingback promoting a new finish in Jet Fuel which I really,really liked the look of. My Journeyman in black steel arrived which I liked a lot but kept thinking how it would look in Jet Fuel. With the help of the excellent Megan I was able to return the unused black steel version and order it in Jet Fuel. Wow, when it arrived it looked stunning. The Journeyman pen is a fantastic pen period anyhow and I adore its build quality but in this Jet Fuel finish it just makes you feel good when it's taken out its little slip case and you know it is something very special and as not many are produced very unique.

The metal is machined in England, the leather hand-stitched in London, and our waxed cotton bags made in England. A few pieces are made overseas, by specialists who do that particular job better than we could here, and where that's the case we say so on the product page rather than leave you guessing.
Wherever a product is made, it's designed here and carries the same guarantee. If something stops working as it should in normal use, we repair or replace it, however long you've owned it.

Unpersonalised pieces can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery. Personalised pieces are made just for you, so they can't be returned unless faulty. Either way, you're covered for life by our guarantee.
